There are some diets that want everyone to lose weight on 1200 calories. While this can be effective in the short term, it can have devastating effects on your health.
Losing weight is hard work, and allowing yourself to be hungry during the process is so much like torture.
If you are trying to lose weight on 1200 calories, you may find yourself with inadequate amounts of nutrition that your body really needs.
You can also put your body into starvation mode so that when you go off your calorie limited diet, not only will you gain back any weight you might have lost, but you will gain back more as your body struggles to hold on to all those extra calories for the next time you decide to starve yourself.
I don't think there are many people who really like to lose weight on 1200 calories...let's face it...no one likes to feel hungry.
Your better off opting for a diet that is a closer fit to your needs and lifestyle.
